Tags on Pictures

Everyone who knows me knows how much my work means to me. Photography is just about the only thing on this earth I care about. My main field for advertisement, business, displaying, or anything related to my work is still facebook. I have my own website, a MySpace page, and an account on Model Mayhem; but facebook is still the main source for everything for me on there.

It may seem silly to some but if a certain picture is not good enough for facebook then to me it means it is not good enough anywhere else. This plays directly with tags. All my work on facebook has a tag on it. Unless the picture becomes old and a tag magically disappears which doesn't bother me to much, all my recent work in my latest albums of work have tags on them.

To me, tags on my work don't say who is in the picture. Tags say what that person feels about that picture that I produced. Tags mean whomever is in that picture is proud to have their name attatched to it. Happy with the work that I put into. Respecting the time I spend in the lab after the shoot to edit and enhance the pictures to make the person look even better. Tags add a personal touch to pictures and let me know the person really does like the picture.

Half of my shoots I probabaly do for free. But the only real compensation there is that the person allows me to tag the pictures. That is the payment and it's the reason I don't charge the model in some cases.

I never post inappropiate pictures on facebook. Lingerie, nude, anything of that nature does not go on unless I am given permission. So there is really no case whatsever to untag pictures because nothing inappropiate ever makes it to facebook. Model Mayhem and my website sure, but not facebook.

If you have friends or family that don't approve of the pictures I post on facebook, you can either tell them to suck it or don't come to me to get your picture taken. They don't have to look at your pictures and if anyone else judges you for modeling or even just having fun then they can burn in hell.

If you model for me and we are facebook friends, I expect the pictures to be tagged, or a decent amount of cash.

I probably could have worded that whole thing better but that's what happens when I rant.
